You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Hello all, appreciaite your help in this.

This is an american cartoon,, an oldie, probably a segment in a longer cartoon film, maybe from hanna barbera or harvey cartoon, where two cowboys engage in a traditional man to man shoot off ( I remember one cowboy had his pants tucked in his boots and the other had a different style alltogether and with wide pants over boots). They proceed to demonstrate their skills before engaging and one of them does so in tossing a coin in the air and shooting it so that the eagle inscrption on it comes to life and flies off!

    Thanks in advance
    Sam

Without watching it, my guess would be "Shootin' Stars", a Paramount Modern Madcap from 1960. I think the only way to watch it online is as part of a "Casper and Friends" episode on hulu.com, which means sitting through 2 other "Harveytoons" (plus commercials) before you get to "Shootin' Stars". It's the episode that starts with "True Boo".

Paramount Cartoon Studios re-used this plot for one of their made-for-TV Popeye cartoons, "Autographically Yours" This one definitely has the eagle being shot off a coin. It was released on DVD last year and is posted on YouTube.

Thanks you Bobby Bickert, the popeye one was great and definitely brought back som memories. The Casper one was impossible to find on anthing that isnt Hulu, and Hulu isnt working in my country. very frustrating.

Please direct me to any other sources if possible.

I was just guessing about the coin shooting, since I had only seen "Shootin' Stars" one time when I first posted in this thread. (Whereas I'd seen the Popeye cartoon many times since the mid-1970's.) I assumed that since the Popeye cartoon reused the plot from "Shootin' Stars, it reused the stunts as well.

I tried watching the 1947 Paramount Noveltoon "The Mild West", but the coin shooting in that one ended with a quarter splitting into 5 nickels. I can't think of anything else. Most old cartoons didn't have humans as the stars.
