We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Correct, saltyboot, definitey Huey, Dewey, and Louie. I've been on a "DuckTales" kick.

    1. Huey, Dewey, and Louie Duck are identical triplets

    2. The only way you could tell them apart was by the color of their clothes, at least on "DuckTales." Huey always wore red, Dewey always wore blue, and Louie always wore green.

    3. When Huey, Dewey, and Louie were first introduced, they were voiced by Clarence Nash, who was also the voice of their uncle, Donald Duck.

Alrighty... Here's what I came up with.

I stay isolated in my home and for good reason.
I see sickness and death outside my window.
I write in my journal about this horrific time in history.

Again, this is a stumper. However, I'm guessing it's a Pilgrim.

Well, I can rule out one who's already on the used character list. And I know "The Masque Of The Red Death" was never animated, so I'm totally clueless.

This could almost be Barefoot Gen, but he went around Hiroshima trying to aid the survivors.

    Next set.

My short film is based on a novel.
    The year is 1665.
In a way, the story is asking if you should live your life cautiously or take chances?

If there's a novel and cartoon about the Great Plague Of London, I can't find either one. Sorry.

Actually there is one--with Death actually taking on the form of a lovely woman--however I have no idea on this one either.

This must be the Periwig Maker, from the stop-motion short of the same name, based on Daniel Defoe's novel "A Journal of the Plague Year".

    That's right peterhale!

The Periwig Maker is based on "A Journal of the Plague Year."
The man writes in his journal about his observations on the plague.
He stays indoors to make sure he doesn't get sick, and watches people through his window.
Obviously, the short takes place in 1665.

    Take it away...

    Sorry for the delay...

    1) I am one of three.

    2) My gift is not what I had intended.

    3) I prefer blue.

Could it possibly be Crackle, as in Snap, Crackle,Pop, Rice Krispies? He does match the clues.

Merriweather from Sleeping Beauty, I'll bet!

    1. She's one of three good fairies

    2. She changed Maleficent's curse on baby Aurora, which wasn't what she was going to originally give the child (I haven't seen the movie in a long time, so I don't know if it was ever mentioned what she was originally going to give her)

    3. She and Flora have an argument over what color Aurora's ballgown should be, and they kept changing it from pink (Flora's choice) to blue (Merriweather's choice)

I think FluidGirl has nailed this one with Merriweather. Everything we know about that character fits the clues.

Right on target, FluidGirl, it is Merryweather, the third good fairy from Disney's Sleeping Beauty. And for the reasons you gave. (It's a while since I've seen it, as well, but I don't think any mention is made of Merryweather's intended gift. She is about to give it when a gust of wind heralds Maleficent's arrival.)

    Over to you, FG!

Okay, sorry for the long wait, gang. Lots of stuff going on between two term papers, a competency exam, and turkey day. Anyway, on with the character.

    1. I'm small

    2. Being so small, I'm rather timid

    3. I'm quite fond of the color pink

Sniffles the mouse, I'll bet. Though I never associated him with the color pink.
