You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

The Mystery Cartoon Character Game, ongoing.

    Next.

When I grew up, I became a psychologist. All because my pin-pal was diagnosed with A.S.
I wrote a thesis on asperger syndrome and used my friend as a case study.
    This angered him.

Didn't take very long to find this. It's Mary Daisy Dinkle, from "Mary And Max."

Yep, it's Mary from Mary And Max. All of my clues are self-explanatory.

    It's all yours! :)

Thanks, Salty. Here's one that's truly easy.

    1. I sing an upbeat, catchy song.

    2. I call myself the jungle VIP.

    3. I seek the secret of a natural element.

Yes, it's King Louie, all right.

    1. He sings, "I Wanna Be Like You."

    2. That's from the opening line of the song.

    3. He tries to get Mowgli to tell him the secret of man's red fire.

So take it away again, Saltyboot. Great job. :)

    Thanks!

    My sidekick is not bright.
There's a particular rabbit we want to eat.
I can catch the rabbit, but he gets away every time.

Nah, the rabbit in question isn't Bugs.

This has got to be Brer Fox--he's got a dumb sidekick, Brer Bear, and they're after Brer Rabbit. However, the rabbit has brains and finds ways to outsmart them.

Yeah, just had a feeling. Never seen Song of the South--for obvious reasons (banned movie) but I am familiar with the animated characters due to a record book I own, and a Disney book that includes that tale in it. Not to mention I've been on Splash Mountain.

    Anyhow here's mine.

    1. I'm one of those very rare villains who actually wins.
    2. The narrator protests that this isn't the way this is suppose to end--but his protests fall on my deaf ears.
    3. By the end of the short, I am marking out little graves with body parts!

Foxy Loxy. He wins in "Chicken Little." The fox eats all of the chickens and uses their wishbones at grave markers. (Creepy)

Indeed--The second clue eludes to the ending in which the narrator assures us that everything will turn out all right--we then cut to see Foxy Loxy victorious. The narrator protests that this isn't the way it's supposed to end according to his book. Foxy Loxy retorts "Oh yeah? Don't believe everything ya read, brother!"

    Alright, I'm finally ready.

My mom tells me stories about her adventures.
I don't believe any of it.
Then I'm kidnapped and brought to the place my mom told me about.

Thanks, Saltyboot. Now for another easy one:

    1. I try to avoid girls, especially one who pursues me relentlessly.

    2. Although I eat enough hamburgers to end up in an early grave, I'm always skinny and healthy.

    3. I play drums in a cartoon band that had the "sweetest" hit of 1969.

Hint taken. This is Forsythe "Jughead" Jones, originally from the MLK / Archie comics, later adapted into a series of cartoon shows by Filmation Studios. Clue one refers to Big Ethel, who pursues Jughead relentlessly. Despite looking like Jug in drag, the two characters are not related. Clue two refers to Jughead's legendary "bottomless pit" ability to devour his own weight in food in one sitting. Since his favorite hang-out site is Pop Tate's Choc'lit Shoppe, hamburgers are his most frequent comestible. Surprisingly, the band put together to record the bubblegum pop tracks for the Archies cartoons actually caught on with the public, and became a Billboard chart hit: "Sugar Sugar." Lightning strikes in the oddest places sometimes.
