    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Pac-Man's already on the used character list, so it must be Ms. Pac-Man.

Hmmm. I checked the character list several times and Pac-Man was not there. But since I somehow missed it, then by default the character should change from Mr. to Ms. Either way, you got it right.

Thanks. Now I've got one who has yet to be put on the list:

    1. My shorts were produced the same year as the sequel to the classic movie that inspired them.

    2. I'm a canine mob boss, you see.

    3. Guess you could say my cartoons are an offer you can't refuse.

It's the Dogfather--from the series of the same name.

Yes, that's it, Glowworm. Great job once again. Now for the clues:

    1. The Dogfather shorts were first produced in 1974, the year that "The Godfather Part Two" was released.

    2 and 3 are self-explanatory.

So take another turn, Glowworm. :)

Yeah, all I really know about this series is that it's from Depating Freleng--is a canine version of the Godfather, and borrows a lot of its plots from Looney Tunes shorts. That and the characters reappeared in the 1993 Pink Panther series. (yes, the one where he talked.) albeit with new designs.

Anyhow, This one should be simple.

    1. I prefer a certain kind of milk product rather than carrots.
    2. I wear a letter around my neck which stands for both the product and my name.
    3. In 2001, both my name and the letter around my neck changed due to the product having a name change as well.

    Yep. Cute little guy.
    1. Unlike the usual stereotype, this little guy loves Nesquik.
    2. Quik wears a giant Q around his neck.
    3. He's now known as the Nesquik Bunny because the product name changed. So now he wears an N around his neck.

Just as a tiny note or two:
Pac-Man appears in the first group of "P" characters, after Pablo the penguin and before Paddlefoot and Spinner. Curiously, Pac-Man was used as a Mystery Character by CartoonFan4ever, correctly identified in Post #2768 of the game's first thread by oneuglybunny. However, since Ms. Pac-Man is likewise applicable, I'll add that character to the Used Character List.
Oh, and many congrats to EmeraldIsle for attaining the 200 Correct Response mark in the Mystery Character Game. Bravo! *Throws roses*

Oop! How did I miss that? I typed "pac-man" and even just "pac" in the Search Box of the character list (which never failed me before) and nothing was found. Well, so much for the convenient search box. :bag:

Well, since it's been two days since I guessed, I might as well post these clues:

    1. In England, I'm the title character. In the American version, it's the whole group.

    2. My young friends and I go to the exact same place every single night.

    3. I can talk, but not during my waking hours.

Three more clues. I'll reveal the answer tomorrow if no one gets it by then.

    4. I'm named and modeled after a real dog.

    5. My likeness has been seen on English sleepwear.

    6. My nemesis is to blame for kids' bad dreams, but he's no Freddy.

I now have it. Pottsworth from the Midnight Patrol:Adventures in the Dreamzone, AKA. Potsworth and Co. I've somewhat been aware of this one due to the Mystery Cartoon section of this forum sometimes asking this question.

Great job, Glowworm. You got it, so step up once again.

    As for the clues:

    1. The shows was called "Potsworth And Company" in England.

    2. Potsoworth and the four kids from Midnight Patrol went the Dream Zone every night.

    3. There, the dog was able to talk and act like a human. In the daytime, all he did was bark.

    4. There was a real Springer Spaniel named Potsworth. He was the model for the cartoon character.

    5. The dog's likeness was on a British line of sleepwear.

    6. Midnight Patrol's nemesis was the Nightmare Prince. But unlike Freddy Kruger, he was totally goofy, and less of a threat than he.

Thanks, the last clue did it for me--that and the mentioning of the dog.

    Here we go.

    1. I am an inventor.
    2. My wife doesn't care much for my creativity.
    3. I send my wife to hell--believe it or not, it was unintentional.
