You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

The Mystery Cartoon Character Game, ongoing-ier.

    Thanks, something just clicked.
    Here's one.
    1. I'm a housekeeper.
    2. With the exception of one instance--you never see my face.
    3. I continuously have to deal with a cat and mouse.

Yep, it's Mammy two Shoes--and aside from her face being briefly seen in "The Saturday Evening Puss" (and the Tom and Jerry Comic books), she is usually seen from the waist down.

Great..... ok, I found a character.

My short won many film festival awards.
    I'm a strange rabbit-looking creature.
I have to figure out the instruction book before time runs out.

Can't find the answer. Then again, I've never seen any shorts at the film festivals.

    More? .... Ok.

The maker of this stop motion short is a husband and wife duo.
I have to make a companion from scratch.
I play music to bring her to life.

Took a while, but I've got it now. It's the stuffed bunny from "The Maker."

Correct! It is the rabbit creature from The Maker.

The short was made by Christopher and Christine Kezelos.
The rabbit creature looks through an instruction book so he can make a companion.
He has to do this before his time runs out.
He plays a violin to make her come alive.

You're up to bat, emeraldisle. [thumbup]

Dang. You're right. I did repost it by mistake, so I deleted it completely. I'll have to think of someone else.

    And I just did.

    1. I'm the loyal sidekick of a military officer.

    2. Along with him, I'm roarin' and a chargin'.

    3, I'm always begging my superior's pardon.

Beggin' the colonel's pardon, this is Sergeant Okie Homa, an otherwise affable fellow stuck in the US Cavalry under fastidious Colonel Kit Coyote. Thanks to the colonel's inflexible adherence to Army protocol, these two always fail to displace the Go-Go Gophers from Gopher Gulch.

OUB, I salute you for that right answer. It is Sergeant Okie Homa, and for all the reasons you stated. So step up, and carry on with your next character. Good job. :)

Why, thank you, that was friendly. :) Oh, great Caesar's ghost, this vein has gone untapped. Nurse, prepare my phlebotomy kit.

    1) This character has appeared once to date in an animated feature film, plus a few ancillary shorts and teasers.

    2) Part of a team that safeguards the world, this character abandons her post, which causes all manner of wreckage and ruin.

    3) The world is saved when this character returns, since she's the only one who can undo the cascading cataclysm.

Oh, then I'd better start giving out more idea-y clues. Will these do?

    4) Remember those Power Rangers? The five ... people ... that blended the disco era with kung fu? Same vibe with this character and her teammates, except much less kinetic, and better dressed.

    5) Oh, and the world this character safeguards? It's not Earth, nor the United States, nor even South Lower Cincinnati. It's just one person. That keeps the saving / protecting thing down to a manageable size.

    6) Among these color-coded guardians, this character is the only one that needs vision correction.

Perhaps, yes. This is Sadness the emotion from Pixar's Inside Out. Sadness and her teammates: Joy, Fear, Anger and Disgust, keep their world, named Riley Anderson, safe and stable. That part starts going horribly wrong when Sadness and Joy get pulled out of the control room and dumped into Long Term Memory. I didn't want Pixar's newest going unloved, so thanks PeterHale for keeping untapped veins ... tappable. :) I'll add your newest +1 to the scoreboard while you take control of the game board.

    Thanks, OUB.

Now, who hasn't made the character list yet?
    Aha! here's an unexpected omission...

    1) Feeling humiliated, I determine to squeeze every last drop out of those insolent, musical peasants.
    2) My voice artist also voiced my brother.
    3) My advisor has no legs.

Wow, that Clue One speaks volumes; the wording is spot-on. I'm certain that I know who this is, but rather than hog the board, I'll defer to another participant. :)
