You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Actually, she was animated for "The Three Musketeers" two-parter of "The Famous Adventures Of Mr. Magoo."

OK, here are three more clues.

My world consists of anthropomorphic animals, mostly rodents. Although there are some animals that are not anthropomorphic at all.
I was expected to become a monk, but I knew that was not my path.
I was on a mission to find the sword of my hero.

Close, but you got the wrong name. Martin is the name of the character's hero.

    Correct!

Matthias lost his family in an attack when he was little.
He was raised in an abbey and was expected to become a monk.
He wanted to become a warrior.
He went out to find the sword that his hero once had.
    Matthias is an anthropomorphic mouse.

    You're up! [thumbup]

Thanks, Salty. Now for an easy one, from another very untapped source:

    1. I was animated 30 years ago, along with others from the same federation.

    2. In the series, I was the leader of the villains.

    3. However, I was not voiced by my real life counterpart, who left this world just the other day.

This must be 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper (voiced by Charles Adler) from Rock 'n' Wrestling (1985) - "Cartoon series featuring the out-of-ring escapades of the stars of the World Wrestling Federation" (to quote IMDb!).

Yes, Pete, it's the late Mr. Piper. Good job. :) Now you get another turn. It was my decision to post those clues as a tribute. RIP.

Thanks Em. Here's the next character...

    1) On May 6th, 1905, a package arrived that was to break my unshakable faith in the rulebook.

    2) Head Office is extremely good at duplication, distribution and filing.

    3) My problem is multiplication.

    And Flannery it is!

    1) Flannery cites the date when he telegraphs head office. The package contains 2 guinea pigs.
    2) Indeed, when the decision is finally made (that guinea pigs are pets, not pigs) copies are circulated to everyone on the railroad, including the hoboes!
    3) By the time Flannery receives instructions to send the guinea pigs to the Main Office Station they number a million and two (and rising) and filled six hundred boxcars.

Well done, Glowworm - over to you!

Thanks. I've never seen the short--that has to be remedied. However, as I once mentioned before, I own an large Disney book featuring tons of stories based off movies and shorts--including this one. I've read it once, and the plot has stuck with me ever since.

    Anyhow, here's one.

    1. I always tell the truth--even when it should be better if I don't.
    2. I know many things, but there is only one question on my mistress' mind.
    3. I am very eloquent when it comes to speaking--most of the time, I rhyme.

I know this one: it's the Magic Mirror from Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Perhaps it would have been better if Magic Mirror had withheld or obfuscated the truth. However, Mirror must surely be aware of Queen Grimhilde's vindictiveness; Mirror remains intact as long as the Queen believes his words are true.

Yes, this is the Magic Mirror--also known as Slave in the Magic Mirror, as Queen Grimhilde addresses him. I believe in the original tale, the mirror could not lie--so this is something the mirror could not prevent even if he wanted to.

Thanks, Glowworm, that was a nice one. I hope this character measures up:

    1) This character occurs only once to date in an animated feature film. He survives to the end of the story, though not intact.

    2) When first seen, this character is powerful and competent, able to attain the prize despite a platoon of warriors guarding it.

    3) That initial scene must have used up all this character's competence, as he's stripped of his prize by a comparative pipsqueak. Thereafter, he's cowed and bullied by the main villain.

Oops, after-dinner nap ran long; time for more clues.

    4) This character is not human. Not one part of him, despite being a chimera creature. Nope, no human pieces at all.

    5) There is a ruthless supreme villain in this story, and this character is that villain's primary henchman; TV Tropes would call him "The Dragon."

    6) While not terribly bright, this character is still smarter than all the other shambling morons that follow the villain. And this character is often a comic relief, which might be why a television comedian was chosen as his voice actor. :woot:
