You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

The Mystery Cartoon Character Game, ongoing-ier.

Glowworm, you win again. Good job. All clues are self-explanatory, so you get another turn. :)

Thank you. I've got a simple one planned out.
    1. I am the relative of a well known character.
    2. I am musically talented.
    3. Throughout the short I keep breaking strings--and running off to torment the cat.

Color me flummoxed: this is Uncle Pecos, Jerry Mouse's uncle from the Tom and Jerry cartoon "Pecos Pest." His song, "Crambone," is about an elopement, but Uncle Pecos can't enunciate hickory tree, so it gets mangled into eucalyptus tree ... which only grow in Australia. Long way from the Pecos River, eh? o_O

Yes this is Uncle Pecos, Jerry's soon to be country star uncle who keeps breaking his guitar string and having to rip Tom's whiskers off to replace it. My favorite bit has to be when Uncle Pecos is approaching Tom, who has locked himself in a cabinet with an axe!

Ah yes, a scene that predates Stephen King's The Shining by twenty years. :) Now to find a goodly character. Okay, this one'll do...

    1) This character has appeared once in an animated feature film, followed by one short cartoon. In the feature film, this character is in a support role, whereas in the short cartoon, this character takes the heroic lead.

    2) There are plenty of characters that spout platitudes, but don't have the spine to back them up. Not this character; he talks a mean game, then backs it up. In fact, this character was willing to make a Heroic Sacrifice, but a teammate rescued him from certain doom.

    3) Y'know how there are Recreational Vehicles? They're like a cottage on wheels that are vehicles and domicile? This character has the cheapest RV imaginable.

Yow, almost overdue for more clues. Me musta snoozed. :bag:

    4) This character is not human. Nobody's that small. Except this li'l fella, of course, but he has a good reason.

    5) Tough economic times hit everyone, including this character, who at one point was living in a trailer park.

    6) This character is a Good Guy, really. Let's pretend he's just an acquaintance of a delusional cuckoo and a cynical racketeer.

Of course! How come I didn't think of this sooner? It's Rhino, the hamster from "Bolt."

Verily, this is Rhino the hamster from Disney's Bolt, a six-inch squeaker that talks trash like a six-footer, then rolls out to deliver the goods. The RV, of course, is his hamster ball: part living space, part vehicle, all cheap. I'll pin a fresh +1 on your tally sheet, EmeraldIsle, while you take control of the board. :)

Thanks, OUB. Now here's another simple one:

    1. I never go anywhere without my prized possession.

    2. Having been in numerous TV specials and four animated feature films, I'll be back on the big screen later this year with everyone else.

    3. Due to my fear of queen snakes, I try to avoid going to summer camp.

You got it, Glowworm. Great job. :) Now to explain the clues:

    1. He never goes anywhere without his security blanket.

    2. Self-explanatory, plus his appearances in "The Charlie Brown And Snoopy Show."

    3. He was unwilling to go summer camp, expressing his fear of queen snakes. Which, BTW, are a real species.

So it's your turn once again.

    Let's do this one.
    1. I am the first of my siblings to hatch--but only partially.
    2. I haphazardly wander off to get rid of my shell.
    3. Despite ending up on a farm--I am NOT a chicken.

    OK, I found one.

I'm not willing to do the necessary work to rescue my future bride.
I resort to torture to make my victim talk.
There were cheers and applause after my death.

Lord Farquaad from Shrek. Supposedly meant to look like Michael Eisner, and a name that sounds a lot like a bad word.

    Yep, it's Lord Farquaad.

He rather send someone out to rescue Fiona than to do it himself.
He tortures Gingy to get information.
Everyone was happy when the dragon eats Farquaad.

Yeah, that first clue gave it away for me.
    1. My brother and I are lost in the woods.
    2. It turns out that we are more than just physically lost--we are mentally lost as well.
    3. This is actually a ten part mini-series.
