You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

The Mystery Cartoon Character Game, ongoing-ier.

Yeah, I love this short. At one point the little girl who finds him inside her dollhouse names him "Teeny." (Although I am unsure if this is an official name of course)

Yeah, I think the clues are pretty understandable.

Thanks, Glowworm. Now here's a real cool set of clues:

    1. We're rather odd twin brothers.

    2. We're brought in by the title character to look for something, and mess up the house in the process, much to the dismay of the goldfish.

    3. Although we practically have the same name, neither of us could ever be mistaken for Ben Grimm.

Right, Glowworm. You nailed it. All clues are once again self-explanatory. I decided on them today after finding out about another unpublished Dr. Seuss book last night. So you're up again. Good job. :)

I heard about the unpublished Dr. Seuss book yesterday myself.
    Anyhow try this one.

    1. Unlike my brave friends, I am the scaredy cat of the group.
    2. In fact, I am usually the one to object to what the leader wants to do, usually stating that it's a bad idea.
    3. Ironically, with the exception of the leader's mean cousin, I am the oldest of them all.

Could this be Gabby from Fleischer Studios' Gulliver's Travels? The pessimistic and reticent Eeyore of the group of Lilliputians? From the second US animated feature ever? Methinks it is.

No, it isn't Gabby from Gulliver's Travels.

Hmmm. It looks like there's some missing posts. It's not just me.... right? I know there were some issues with the forum.

I guessed the right character last night with M. C. Bird. Should I go ahead and post my character, or should I wait and see if any of the old posts come back?

    Okey dokey then.

In my movie, I became a single parent.
I'm always worrying about my son.
Contrary to the name of my species, I am not funny.

I know now. It's Marlin, from "Finding Nemo."

    1. He becomes a single parent.

    2. He does worry about Nemo, especially when he goes missing.

    3. He's a clownfish, but isn't a funny character.

Now here's to hoping the missing posts can be restored.

Absolutly correct! It's Marlin and for all the reasons stated.

Thanks, Salty. But until the missing posts are restored, I don't feel like posting a new character. I pass my turn to the first person who wants to post a new set of clues.

Okay, I've logged Saltyboot's answer of M C Bird as correct. Am I missing any others? The cold spell here in the northeast caused our furnace to go kaput, so there was that nonsense to deal with; I never got around to checking on this thread over the weekend. If there were any other entries, let me know somehow if you can. :bag:

Yes, you need to restore my response about Chuckie Finster, and my clues about M.C. Bird. Plus my reply to Saltyboot's answer.

Um, weird as this sounds, there's no indication of any missing posts as I peruse this page. Normally, I'd get something like "This post has been removed from view by LumpyBumpy on Sat 21 February 2015." However, there's nothing like that here; everything goes from FluidGirl's post #249 on Saturday afternoon to Saltyboot's post #250 on Sunday night. I have no reason to suppress valid posts like that. Is there something on your screen that indicates me as having tampered with the thread? Because I can testify here and now that I've done nothing of the kind. :angelic: I can only speculate that sometime during the weekend, the server's hard drive was swapped out, and the mirror file was created before the newest posts had been duplicated. Thus, when the thread was restored, it came from an earlier point in time, something like that temporal "hiccup" in Star Trek. :borg:

Trust me, it's not your fault. I think you're right about the "swapping out" bit.

Thank goodness, last night I thought I did something wrong to the computer again--or did something wrong here when I saw that a few posts to this thread were missing.
