    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

I believe I know this one, but I don't have the time to come up with a character and the clues. Not until next week.
I'll wait for someone else to answer.

To save you the trouble of posting more clues, I'll provide the answer. It's Marge Simpson.

Yep, this is motherly Marge Simpson from Fox's stalwart series The Simpsons. That towering beehive hairdo, back in the Fifties, would've signified Marge as the Queen Bee among a Wretched Hive of mavens. Good answer. :)

Thanks, OUB. Now how about this one?:

    1. I've been in two animated series from the same studio.

    2. I'm the only family member who speaks gibberish instead of English.

    3. My personal song would most likely be the title tune from "Hair."

Oh, this must be Muttley, first from Hanna-Barbera's Wacky Races series, then appearing as part of the Vulture Squadron. Muttley tends to mutter and mumble rather than speak coherently, excusable because he's a dog. A long-haired breed of dog, too. He's the object of my favorite quote: "Muttley! Do something!"

Sorry, OUB, but that's not it. I'll supply more clues tomorrow.

    Last three clues:

4.. My animated series premiered in 1973 and 1992.

    5. My actor from the original live action show went on to play a robot in the 25th century.

    6. The best words to describe me also describe the rest of the clan: Creepy and kooky.

Salty, you got it again. Good job. Now to explain the clues:

    1. Hanna-Barbera produced two animated series about the The Addams Family in 1973 and 1992.

    2. Itt speaks unintelligibly.

    3. He has hair all over his body.

    4. Same as clue 1.

    5. In the live action series, he was played by Felix Silla, who later played Twiki the robot, from "Buck Rogers In The Twenty-Fifth Century."

    6. Self-explanatory.

    So it's your turn again.

Great! I don't know if I will be able to put together a character tomorrow. It'll be either late tomorrow, or sometime on Monday.
For the sake of not holding up the game, if anyone would like to post something I wouldn't mind.

OK, I finally had time to put something together.

    I'm building a carnival ride.
However, it's actually for shaking loose change out of the participants.
After a mishap, my assistant and I found a map to a castle.

    Three more then.

When we get to the castle, there is a Halloween party going on.
    With real monsters.
I use an alias name, Dr. Jekyll and my assistant is Mr. Hyde.

OK, here are the last three.

This Halloween TV special is from 1991.
    It's also in stopmotion.
The Christmas special is a lot more popular.

Well, there is the stop-motion feature Mad Monster Party, produced by Arthur Rankin and Jules Bass in 1968. It has all the classic horror movie monsters, and a spooky castle. No mention, however, of any shake-down roller coaster ride. And that Doctor Jekyll seems legit: he quaffs down his potion and becomes Mister Hyde. Perhaps somebody tried to improve on this original?

Yeah, my thoughts were on Mad Monster Party although I'm not very familiar with the movie to know any characters to round it down to. Also, Oneuglybunny seems to have debunked that it was that movie to begin with.

I haven't seen Mad Monster Party, but as OUB pointed out, it's from 1968 and my show is from 1991.

    Bonus hint: It's claymation.

I'm betting ten to one it's Wiltshire Pig, from "Claymation Comedy Of Horrors."

Yes, it's Wiltshire Pig. His assistant is Sheldon Snail and they both enter Doctor Frankenswine's castle. The special was by Will Vinton, who also did A Claymation Christmas Celebration.

Thanks, Salty. Now for a real good set of clues:

    1. We appear in just three episodes--two of the original series, and one of the first spinoff.

    2. Fittingly, we move into a spooky house.

    3. Our second episode was meant to spoof Beatlemania--we all said, "Yeah, yeah, yeah."
