You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Oh, Barney Rubble and Fred Flintstone; they observe their wives going about their housework, and feel uncomfortable just standing around uselessly. Therefore, implementing the Classic Male Solution, they simply go elsewhere until dinnertime.

Close enough,OUB! This was from one of the commercials the Flintstones did for Winston cigarettes, before they saw the light and switched to grape juice and breakfast cereal.Back to you.

That was cricket, Bill, thanks. Ah, I do love those animated features, so I shall dip into that well once again.

Didn't take too long to find it. It's Danny and Sawyer, from "Cats Don't Dance."

That's where the quotes come from, by golly. Danny came to Hollywood brimming with talent and enthusiasm. Sawyer is the jaded ice queen secretary for Danny's agent. They get assigned as extras in a Noah's-Ark-as-musical production. Sawyer dislikes upstart Danny, who seems to be a disaster-in-progress with eyeballs. Way to shoot a guy down, girl.

Thanks, OUB. Now let's see about this quote:

"You two are players, I'm the cheerleader, and Elmo is the mascot."

Oh, this is April of Hanna-Barbera's Funky Phantom series. The two players are her associates, Skip and Augie. She describes herself as a cheerleader not so much to marginalize herself, but to compliment her own beauty. Elmo is Augie's dog. I suppose that leaves Muddsy Muddlemore to be the coach, and Boo the cat to be ... Bill Belichick, maybe? The subversive that spies on the opposing team? Boo certainly doesn't play fair.

Yes, OUB, it's April Stewart. And that quote is from the episode "Pigskin Predicament," the only episode that showed the gang at their high school. Good job. :).

Here's a series of quotes, all from the same character. Be advised that Post-It Notes hadn't been invented yet.

    "I gotta get a 'lectrician, a 'lectrician."
"Gotta get an optician. No, gotta get a magician for Betty."

    "Gotta get a politician, politician."

Sorry about that; this is one for the old grunks, since it dates back to 1936. Monochrome, too, before color was invented. Involves "exercise equipment" that operates on the theory that body fat can be jiggled away.

Ah, took a while, but I found it at last. It's Little Jimmy, from "Betty Boop And Little Jimmy."

Yes, it is, this is Little Jimmy trying to remember to fetch an electrician to save Betty Boop from a haywire reducer. Which is an eccentric vibrator that agitates a long leather belt; it somehow jiggles away body fat. Once upon a time, we actually believed in this junk science. Good research, EI. :)

No takers? Well, here I go: Professor Amadeus Sharp, team leader of the Bionic 6. Health care coverage? Phooey, all they need is a good mechanic.

Close, but no cigar. It's actually spoken by Jack Bennett, AKA Bionic-1. Still, you got the show right, so good job. :). Take it away!

No cigar? That's okay, I don't smoke. And let us shift the focus from bionic cyborgs to spandex wonders.

    "What's a pagliacci?"
