The Cartoon Quote Game...

Oh, now I recognize it. At first, I was hearing this in Granny's voice, but nothing connected. Then I tried the generic UPA mother, and that dead-ended. But I hit on Porky Pig, dealing with Sylvester, who's trying to save Porky from evil, subversive mice hiding in a moose head of a derelict hotel. Suddenly, everything clicked. Naïve Porky Pig admonishing scapegoat Sylvester from Scaredy Cat.

Correct that this is Porky Pig, however, this is actually the later short "Claws for Alarm." The plot is similar, however, in "Scaredy Cat" Porky and Sylvester are moving into their new home--which happens to be run by an evil cult of mice. "Claws for Alarm" have Porky and Sylvester visiting an old ghost town and spending the evening in a mouse infested hotel.
Also, never trust a moving moose head with a rifle in its mouth.

E-yup, cannot trust those moose heads. Them and one other:

"A-ha! Playing opossum for thirty years." [fires two gunshots] "That'll learn ya."

I can't find this quote anywhere. Even Google never heard of it.

I know this one, will wait and see if anyone else does.

Okay. I'll solve this one. It's Yosemite Sam in "The Fair Haired Hare." Sam has built his home on Bug's rabbit hole and when Bugs comes upstairs to see what the heck is going on, he ends up inside the jaws of a bear skin rug. Sam "saves" Bugs from the rug by shooting at it and mentions this line.

That's exactly right, Glowworm. This is temperamental Yosemite Sam getting paranoid and trigger-happy with a bearskin rug. Then again, we never see any dogs or cats in Sam's house, either. Good memory, GW.
