From the description, this sounds like Jan, sister to Jace. The siblings are the sidekicks to Space Ghost, and their team pet is the monkey, Blip. Although, I must wonder: why do they have operators in that day and age? I know there are some legacy jobs that are staffed by unionized hold-overs and connected relatives, but ... telephone operators? Wow, Lily Tomlin was right.

Actually, Jan was calling Space Ghost himself when she said that the moment she and Blip were discovered by Brak and his henchmen. But you're absolutely right, OUB. Good job.
