    Other Side Of Maleficent

    I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Hint time: the quotes are from veteran cartoon characters, though in this instance, actual live people showed up as well. Oh, and they're not speaking about a road-going car.

    Yes, these are quotes from Looney Tunes Back In Action. Having blown up the evil Acme satellite, Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck return to Earth in a spaceship, which crash-lands in the Acme Chairman's penthouse office. Debarking intact, Bugs Bunny notes that the spacecraft has taken some damage. Daffy Duck, cavalier as ever, handwaves it away. Hertz and Avis are left cringing.

    I'm gonna take a wild guess and go with Prince "Triton'' and Dorma from H-B's Fantastic Four episode ''Duel in the Depths''. They changed the name to Triton since the actual character,Namor, was appearing in Grantway-Lawrence's Marvel Super-Heroes show at the time.
