    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Yes, Glowworm, that's it. Good job. :). Take it away! For the record, he also sang it in "Winnie The Pooh And Tigger, Too."

    Thank you.
    Here's one.
"No accidents in the home, eh? You should never use a match to look in the oven."
    "Oh fff-fiddlesticks."
"You should use a flashlight like so."
    BOOM!
"Must've been a short in my battery."

^^^ And two more times for "Tigger's Tune" in The Tigger Movie. Once, when that haywire tigger bounces onto the scene (apparently, he likes providing his own intro); and later, a very sad reprise after Tigger has realized that, as the only one, he'll never have parents or siblings or cousins or anybody. "I'm ... the lonely ... one."

Yes, this is Daffy Duck and Porky Pig from "Fool Coverage." Daffy is reprimanding Porky for using a match to look inside the oven for a screwdriver. (!) I always laughed at this part because the flashlight exploding is so unexpected.

Which brings up a question. Why was there a screwdriver in the oven?
    Anyway,

    "Oh, no! *hiccup*
    I'm going to be incarcer...*hic*
    I'm going to be incarcer..*hic*
    I'm going to jail!"

Good question indeed! ;) Then again, I've learned not to question the logic's of cartoons.

Hint: This character never drives drunk. But she was found in her husbands car upside down.

I don't want this to go unguessed, so here's another hint.

The husband works in a nuclear power plant and the wife has blue hair.

Yes, whew. Homer drove drunk and flipped the car. He then moved Marge from the passenger seat to the driver seat. Letting her take the blame.

Oh, lamp = Lampy from The Brave Little Toaster. Haven't seen this one in ages. Kind of going by feel here: Toaster pays a compliment to Lampy as the five appliances prepare to trek to the city to find the Master.

Correct again, Em. This is Bob Parr of The Incredibles, grousing about being discrete and mundane instead of being heroic and glorious to his wife, Elasti-Girl. In this case, it's Dash Parr, his son, "graduating" to the sixth grade. This is cause for celebration, apparently, among us ordinaries. Foo, in my grade school days, moving to the next grade was like dodging a bullet, since nobody wanted to flunk and repeat a grade.

    "Beautiful-if you like mosquitoes."
