    Other Side Of Maleficent

    I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Roku issues with certain MGM movies?

    HI,

    I have a Roku N1000. This weekend I noticed that two movies would not play via the Roku. Those movies were:
    Both of these titles are from MGM - I'm not sure if that matters. The movies load, and I can hear the roar of the MGM lion, but nothing appears on screen. Shortly into the second roar, the Roku will re-buffer, then replay the roar, again and again. These movies play correctly on my PC, which is why I suspect the Roku. My player says I have the latest software. I tried cycling the power and doing a factory reset. Neither has remedied the problem. Any ideas? Other movies (so far) play correctly.

    Please help.

    I did not find the right solution from the internet.

    I see from the Roku Forums thread that the problem was due to faulty encodes on Netflix, and has now been resolved. (Roku uses a different download from the one used by a PC).

    However, this post has nothing to do with animation - I presume Rayancaleb was just searching for MGM - and should probably be deleted!

    What I would do when I have Roku problems is...unplug and replug the device. I had problems with YouTube and once I did that...it worked better.

    Now...to have AdBlock on Roku so I don't have to sit through a commercial!
