    Other Side Of Maleficent

    I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Ripping selections off DVD, sound sync is a bit off

    Just an observation.
    I've ripped my fave 25 Looney Tunes off many DVDs. I notice after ripping them to AVI and putting them on my HD, and playing them back, the sound is a tiny bit out of sync. It's as if the audio is slightly behind the animation when they talk. I'm aware that this happens during ripping and there is a software program that you can use to speed up or slow down the AVI cartoon's audio so that it syncs up perfectly with the video. You have to determine how much to slow down or speed up the audio, in order to have it sync up perfectly with the video.

    I'm just asking, has anyone noticed the audio sync to video is a bit "off" after ripping? Like... half a second off I understand why. Has anyone here bothered to compensate? I may do that.
