old Aladdin cartoon

I'm hoping that someone else knows the name of this cartoon so I can find it again. We had the Disney channel when I was a kid in the 80's and I think that's where I saw this cartoon. It was an old version of Aladdin but I don't recall if the character was called Aladdin. I recall he was very poor boy and had a mother that was sick. They lived in a stone house that was like one or two rooms. Somehow the boy got a brass oil lamp and one night was buffing it while his mother slept and the genie came out and granted him wishes. I recall this scene particular because the genie filled the boy's house with food. I don't really remember the rest of the the film but it had similar plot to the popular Aladdin film that Disney made. I think the genie was really huge in the scene where he filled the boy's house with food. There used to be a animated film called "Small One" that Disney used to always show around that time period and I think the animation style was similar.
