You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Legendary Ohio Players frontman Leroy "Sugarfoot" Bonner, who helped cement Dayton, Ohio's reputation as the "Land of Funk," died Saturday in suburban Trotwood after a battle with cancer. He was 69.

Bonner died just before his 70th birthday, according to an "Official Family Announcement" posted Sunday on his Facebook page. "While his family, friends, colleagues and fans mourn his passing, they celebrate fondly his memory, music and legacy," the posting added.

Born in Hamilton, Ohio, he was the eldest of 14 children. His musical career lasted for 56 years.

Bonner wrote the hits "Love Rollercoaster," heard on the soundtrack of 1996's Beavis and Butt-Head Do America, and "Fire," which was on the soundtrack of the partly animated movie Osmosis Jones (2001).

Keith Harrison, of the bands FAZE-O and the Dazz Band, said that he learned of Bonner's death from Marshall "Rock" Jones and another Ohio Players band member.

"He was a great person with a lot of wisdom not just in music, but in life. He was an extraordinary person," said Harrison.

Bonner will be remembered for his kindness and heart, said a friend, Dayton musician Ronald Frost: "He was one of the nicest people I have ever met."

"He was a good friend of my dad's," Frost added. Frost's father, keyboardist Ronald Nooks, is also one of the Ohio Players.

The Ohio Players were based in Dayton. They gained world fame in the 1970s with "Fire," "Love Rollercoaster," "Skin Tight" and other funk hits.

Also known as "Foot" or "Sugar," Bonner was the founding and cornerstone artistic talent of the Ohio Players and the face and sound of the Ohio Players brand, which he knit together and launched in 1964 with former members of the Ohio Untouchables.

More details and an official historical perspective of his career will soon be forthcoming.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
