You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Memorable quotes from animated characters.

Seeing the post on "Truck Season" reminded me of these memorable quotes:

    "Rabbit Season!"
    "Duck Season!"

After seeing the poster that reads "Elmer Season:"

Bugs: Be vewy vewy quiet. We're hunting Elmers.

    Daffy: (Imitates Elmer's laugh).

Here's an odd case where the character doesn't speak per se, but still delivers a dilly of a line:

Wile E Coyote, the legendary canid who finds new and ingenious ways to become extinct, has prepared yet another trap for the elusive Road Runner. The trap consists of two steel plates, held in place by a slide bolt in the middle, supporting tons of rocks some sixty feet overhead. As the Road Runner is about to pass beneath the fateful spot, the Coyote pulls out the bolt with a length of cord. But nothing happens; the rocks stay put, jammed in place by their own weight. Disgusted at the obvious failure of gravity and physics, the Coyote then stands beneath rocks, and starts jabbing them with a long rod. As some smaller rocks begin to tumble, it dawns on the Coyote just how bone-headed this action is, and he holds up a sign to the audience that reads:

"In Heaven's name, what am I doing?"

Um ... winning the Darwin Award, I'd say.

My favorite quote from "Rabbit Fire" has got to be this--Bugs:"For shame, Doc! Hunting rabbits with an Elephant gun!" Elmer looks confused "Elephant gun?" Bugs: "That's right, Doc. So why don't you go shoot yourself an elephant?" Just then, an elephant appears, imitating Joe Besser. "You do and I'll give you such a pinch!" Needless to say, Elmer will NOT be hunting elephants any time soon.

Life is bitter for I'm a sitter, and put little kitties to bed.
While I tuck the sheets around their feet, their busy slappin' my head.
They throw their trains and rattle my brains!
My head is full of dents!
No wonder I'm sour, goes on by the hour.
And each hour I earn 50 cents.

You're desthpicable. Yes, you're very definitely desthpicable. How a person can get so desthpicable in one lifetime is beyond me. It isn't though I haven't met a lot of people. Goodness knows it isn't that. It isn't that.... de-de-desthpicable.

In "A Gruesome Twosome" Bob Clampett's final Tweety short, right after the stupid cat takes down the Jimmy Durante cat before he can receive a kiss from the female cat, a dog appears. "Ladies and gentlemen, I don't actually belong in this picture, but I can't pass up a chance like this!" He then takes the kiss from the female cat.

This reminds me of a line from The Hep Cat. The cat woos a female cat who is actually a puppet controlled by the dog. While the cat is caressing the puppet's back, his hand touches the dog's nose. He pokes and honks the nose and says, "Well, something new has been added!"

From Transformers G1, when the Autobots were made monster actors in movies:
Tracks: You know, I feel like a fool.
    Sunstreaker: You wanna quit?
Tracks: No, but I still feel like a fool.
