You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

    ~ Howdy, Folks!

I really don't have much to go on with this one but here goes. HBO used to play this cartoon over-and-over when they first hit the airwaves back in the 1990's. All I can remember was that a ball shaped character is being chased down a series of geometrically twisting corridors rendered in pseudo wireframe.
    Any ideas?

90's ?...Where did you see this short ?
By 1990 HBO had been on the air at least a decade.
I remember getting HBO in the region I grew up
    around 81' or 82'

or are you saying it aired as the channel began it's
    broadcast day ?
One possibility could be the old Nickelodeon pinball
bumper that aired at the end and beginning of it broadcast
schedule. But that was more mid-80's

    ~ Hey, straydog!

Oops! You are so right on the timeline! I only missed it by about ten years! (ha-ha). This short was on HBO during the mid-1980's! It used to play in addition to Barnarby short cartoons produced by Halas and Batchelor from the UK. Have you seen those? They were based on the Crockett Johnson character. My doctor tells me mixing up decades is pretty common for us old geezers!

I think you are also correct about the Nick bumpers. That was most likely what I saw. I wonder if there is anyway to take a squint at those?

    ~ Hey, straydog!

It just hit me! The ball-shaped character jumping down the corridors is a big black spider! Drawn in a reductive limited animation-type style. Not sure how that helps... but it sure sounded good a minute ago!

Could this be it? Found a post asking about this one by accident on Cartoon Brew--it reminded me of your question.

    ~ Hey, Glowworm!

THIS IS IT!!!!! Thank you for making my day and restoring what little bit of sanity I have left! Amazing to see this after all those years. Well done, Glowworm!

You're welcome. I know what it's like to have something continuously haunt the back of your brain--and no one appears to have the answer. Ironically enough, I was searching for a mystery short myself that has eluded itself for years from me, and came across that post by accident. Seems this short has left quite an impact on peoples' brains.

    ~ Hey, Glowworm!

If you can remember post the link to Cartoon Brew so I can check it out. Also, I'm not sure I can help you find your mystery cartoon but if you can describe it I'll give it a try.

Help me ID this cartoon for Christy Karacas | Cartoon Brew

There you go. Also, thanks for offering, but it's okay. I've once posted that question a few years back on this forum regarding that cartoon, and no one could find the title of it either. One of these days, perhaps it will finally surface on youtube.

Thanks for the link to the Cartoon Brew thread... pretty freaking interesting. It actually jogged my memory about some other mystery animations.

I think this is intended to be ironic, as most of the imagery in the film is clearly not drawn on film!
