You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

I'm thinking of getting this station soon...because since there'll be new LT/MM and H-B cartoons...is it worth it?

I figured nobody else would bring this up, so I thought I should. HBO Max's restored print of the 1969 Merrie Melodies cartoon "Shamrock and Roll" has a rare surprise at the start!

An MPAA G-rating screen accompanied by Bill Lava's composition that played at the start of the 1968 "The Bugs Bunny Road Runner Hour" and later served as the theme song for "The Merrie Melodies Show" in the early 1970s was shown before the standard "Abstract W7" Merrie Melodies logo sequence! This gives us a general idea on what it may have been like seeing one of these final Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies cartoons starting up in the theaters!

Not surprising, in light of the viewership hemorrhage at Netflix. The new boss at Warner Media has a "perform or die" ethic, which has ousted a lot of stuffed suits, and junked many underperforming shows. He's also looking at bending the new Warner Media + Discovery merger into a streaming platform to capture the audience that Netflix lost. In the words of Napoleon Bonapart: "Never interrupt your enemy while he is making a mistake." So while Netflix and Disney are losing their audience (and their revenue), Zaslov and Warner Media are focused on capturing that audience. I expect Bugs Bunny and Company to make a resurgence some time within the fiscal year.

And I thought Disney was the greedy corporation...looks like our entertainment industry is a shared monopoly.

There's no need to rename it. HBOMax is just a broadcast channel; the content is made by producers, usually in-house or affiliates under contract. Those are the guys that are sweating. If Zaslav thinks their shows are under-performing, he'll kibosh them in a heartbeat. He's turning the production teams into a shark pool: the strongest survive, the weakest die.

I heard that the stations that are part of WarnerMedia may be transferring because of the buying of Discovery Networks.

Sounds like a groundless rumor. HBO, Warner Media, and CNN are all owned by ATT. The Looney Tunes are now ATT property thanks to Warner Media, and HBO can air Looney Tunes all they want at no charge because they're a "house" property. Zero production costs, no licensing fees, means HBO and the Looney Tunes are all ATT's toys that they can play with all they want.

Okay...but I won't doubt the final thing they buy is...Sesame Workshop...so not only they'll have Sesame Street...but also The Electric Company, Square One, CRO, and Dragon Tales...to name a few.

^ That is true. Most television and streaming guides reduce broadcast channels to three or four letters, which meant HBOMax would be listed as "HBO," "HBOM," or "HBM." Renaming it "Max" solves a lot of listing issues. And that whole thing about Looney Tunes being removed from that channel: it's one bug, stupid case of fraternal selfishness. Warner Media wants exclusive control of this franchise, and won't let it go to another broadcaster, not even one in the same ATT house. Frankly, I'm amazed the ATT honchos haven't stepped in to give Warner Media a spanking for withholding such a viewer-positive franchise.
