    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Ok, this is a weird question but it's something that's driving me nuts. It's a scene from a cartoon I saw long ago, but can't remember the cartoon and my friends think I dreamt it because it's so weird.

There's a bird, not sure what kind but I think a duck or maybe seagull or dove. I think it was white or light color. And it has long eyelashes that it flutters, so a girl bird. I think a mother bird. And the bird at one point is sitting on her nest asleep, and some male character comes (I thought maybe Elmer Fudd? It was probably a Looney Tunes show). And the guy for some reason starts plucking out the bird's tail feathers, but the bird is asleep and doesn't know.
And then it gets really weird, where the guy (Elmer Fudd?) starts to "prepare" the bird's bare behind! Like maybe trying to season it or salt it as if to eat it? Maybe the guy is a chef, but it was still creepy. And finally the guy spanks the bird's bum, and the bird finally wakes up and she totally freaks out on the guy.

I know this is a weird scene but I'm sure I didn't imagine it. I can even remember the animation movement and some sound and music, but not enough. I remember it was supposed to be a funny scene, but it bothered me as a kid. I can't for the life of me remember what it's from. I might not be remembering it totally right, but it's definitely something like this. And it's from a kid cartoon, believe it or not. Anyone know it?

Well, not exactly as described, but the mechanism is the same: the 1942 Tom And Jerry cartoon Fine Feathered Friend produced at MGM Studios. Jerry Mouse hides from Tom Cat beneath a nesting hen. Tom tries to extract the mouse from the egg clutch without rousing the viciously protective hen. At one point, Tom uses a fork in a very nasty manner, but the hen soon wises up and fervently pecks Tom's noggin in retaliation.

Thanks for the reply. But I checked and that's not it.

At Reddit they think it might be a Looney Tunes character called Mama Buzzard. This could be right, because it seemed like Looney Tunes style animation. And I want to believe the hunter/chef was Elmer Fudd. I looked up Mama Buzzard in Beaky Buzzard shows and she might fit the nesting bird with long eyelashes, but I still can't find this scene.

I can sort of remember this cartoon's sounds and animation movement even after all these years. I mostly remember the guy pinching her plucked tail and lifting it to salt or baste her rear end and then slapping it (maybe to tenderize? It's such a weird scene!) and then the music sound when she finally wakes up and even her scream. It was a long time ago when I saw it and I remember it bothering me because even back then it seemed disturbing (it's probably not so disturbing and more silly but as a little kid I was bothered by the idea of her being plucked and prepared while sleeping and then her hysterical screams made it all the worse). I mentioned it to someone and they think my mind is twisted! But I know this was real!

Searching on Google I see that you already have the answer, courtesy of Cats56 on the TVTropes "You Know That Show..." forum.

Turns out it's the shaving scene from Disney's Peter Pan where Smee unwittingly shaves a seagull's rear end. Here is the link: .
It is remarkable how well it fits your description, despite the misremembered context!
