You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Alison "Ann" Nikolas Gefre, who worked in cel service for Filmation and Disney from 1977 until 1988, died December 27 in her Reseda, California home of 63 years. She was 91.

Affectionately known as "Little Annie," she was a painter for the Filmation feature films Pinocchio and the Emperor of the Night (1987) and Happily Ever After (1990), and was in cel service for the 1988 movie BraveStarr: The Legend.

Gefre was a key artist for the TV series Captain N & the Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 (1990) and G.I. Joe (1991-92), and a color designer for the 1991 series Captain N and the New Super Mario World and Captain N: The Game Master.

She was a cel painter for the TV series Denver, the Last Dinosaur (1988). Billed as Alison DiCecio, she was an ink and paint artist for the 1982 Disney movie TRON.

Gefre was born on July 18, 1921 in Aberdeen, South Dakota, where she was also raised.

A devout Catholic, she was a founding member of St. Catherine of Siena parish, attending Mass daily until her stroke prevented it. She worked many jobs to help sustain the family.

"Annie was a tiny woman in stature, but a giant in her love, compassion and faith. She was an inspiration to all," family members said.

Predeceased in 1999 by husband Anton "Whitey," Ann Gefre is survived by daughters Nancy Bessenbacher and Alison Lyon and sons Brian, Charles and Dale. She is also survived by grandchildren, Robin Scott, Brian Bessenbacher, and Jamie and Jake Lyon; great-grandchildren Kelly Ann, Cameron and Kevin Scott; and many nieces and nephews.

A Rosary was held January 12 at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Reseda, followed by Memorial Mass. Inurnment was private.
