You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

BlueSky Studio has released a teaser trailer for the 3D Peanuts Movie coming out late 2015. Craig Schulz is contributing to the script.

A valiant, but ultimately misguided, attempt to make a 3-D film resemble the original 2-D characters. The painstaking adherence to the original drawings is very nice, but raises the question - why bother? Why use 3-D to imitate a 2-D character? Why include black ink lines on shaded and modelled 3-D characters? Why not just make a 2-D film using all the texture richness now possible with computers?

What makes this approach 'wrong' for me is summed up by Charlie Brown's hair - what in the strip appears to be a curly fringe of pale hair on the front of his head here becomes a single curly black hair, in order to look like the drawing. This is just wrong!

If you don't want to translate a 2-D line drawing into a 3-D model then don't try! Keep it as a line drawing.

Yes, Charles M Schulz is probalby rolling over in his grave. :(

I've loved "Peanuts" ever since I was a little girl. I can't stand to see it butchered like this.

I agree.... why use some 3D tools on a 2D character? One or the other.... both just looks like you dont know what you are doing...

I'm personally more interested in future trailers and parts of the story that will be reveled. Plus, I know I'm the minority, but I don't think the animation is that horrible. However, I do agree that being in 3D is not necessary. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.
