    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Be vewwy, vewwy quiet...I'm hunting wabbits!

Elmer, running in circles: "Dr. Kilpatient, Dr. Kilpatient! [heavy sobbing] I'm a wabbit!!"

"There's a wabbit in my bathroom!"

"I pwoved I'm better than you are! You missed the apple!"

    "Wabbits don't belong in penthouses!"

"Just wait till I get my hands on that scwewy wabbit and that scwewball duck!"

"Mister Wabbit, before you die, you can have one wast wish!"(Elmer was a hard-luck Mountie in this one).

"You're no shewiff! You're that scwewy wabbit!"(Surprise, Elmer!)

(when asked by Groucho/Bugs if he's stopped beating his wife) "Yes! I mean, NO! That is....... I....... er........ um........."

"KILL THE WABBIT, KILL THE WABBIT!!" What's Opera Doc?

"That was the wabbit!" Same cartoon.

"I may be a scwewy wabbit, but I'm not going to Awcatwaz!"

Something to the effect of, "Wisten to the wippling wythm of the woodwinds".........Elmer as orchestra conductor.

    Dwat that wabbit
