You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

We're all pretty savvy people here at the DataBase, so there's probably already a thread about this here. If so, please forgive us, and mods, feel free to delete this if it already exists.

While cleaning our closet yesterday, we came across the TV Guide for the week of Aug. 2, 2002, the one which featured their 50 Greatest Cartoon Characters of All Time. We all knew something like this would be controversial, but as Space Demon points out, this list has more holes than a pack of Swiss cheese!

    Anyways, here's their list:

-OK. Maybe it's just us, but SD and I feel that this list is, shall we say, a trifle incomplete, not to mention waaaaay off-base in some areas. For example, as much as some may like Pokemon, and as big a phenomenon as it is, there is no way on this green Earth that Pikachu should've ranked above Mickey Mouse! Nor should Daffy Duck be ranked below Beavis & Butthead! Also, I feel that placing Angelica on the list and not Tommy Pickles was a cheap shot, plain and simple. You could kneel down and ask a 3-year-old whose show Rugrats is, and they'll tell you "Tommy's the star." At the very least, they could have listed both of them. And while it was flattering to see the Powerpuff Girls make the list, this was 2002, the same year of the PPG movie, so part of me is cyncial enough to believe that the only reason they were put on the list is so TV Guide wouldn't be left out of the movie hype. Plus, the only 2 anime characters to make the list were Pikachu and Speed Racer. So where was Goku?!? I mean, come on! regardless of whteher you like Dragon Ball Z or not, it was a culural phenomenon, so it should've been mentioned here. Goku deserved to be on the list more than Arthur! Who besides the kinder even watch that show?? For that matter, where was Garfield??? He's won Emmys, for crying out loud! And why was Donald Duck ranked so far down?!

And that's just scratching the surface. I'm curious to hear everyone else's opinions on this so-called "list".
