You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

In 1981, Tom and Jerry, Hanna-Barbera's Oscar-winning cat-and-mouse team, saw home video release for the very first time when MGM/UA Home Video distributed the first of a seven-volume set on VHS, Tom & Jerry Cartoon Festival. Its contents comprised of the following shorts: The Flying Cat, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Mouse, The Cat and the Mermouse, the Academy Award winner The Cat Concerto, The Bodyguard, The Little Orphan, Jerry's Cousin, and Mice Follies. In the 28 years since, numerous other releases have followed suit, on VHS, Beta, videodisc, laserdisc and digital video disc, yet focus has been largely put upon the theatrical shorts, the 1990-93 Tom & Jerry Kids Show, and the recent Tom & Jerry Tales. Not much stock has been placed upon the Hanna-Barbera's 1975 or even Filmation's 1980 made-for-TV T&J shorts, since these aren't very fondly remembered by devout cartoon fanatics.

Now, after a long wait, attention has finally been given to the 1975 incarnation of T&J (my all-time favorite!), as cartoons from the premiere telecast of The New Tom & Jerry/Grape Ape Show (show #TJGA-1, originally aired on ABC September 6, 1975) are being officially released today on Disc 2 of Warner Home Video's Saturday Morning Cartoons - 1970s Volume 2. Whether or not the original Tom & Jerry/Grape Ape interstitals will be incuded is a mystery, as I have not seen it yet, but hopefully it will lead to a Complete Series compilation of the 1975 T&J show (or the original hour show with Grape Ape) sometime next year, which will mark the seventieth anniversary of the release of the first Tom & Jerry short, Puss Gets The Boot (and the thirty-fifth anniversary of the premiere telecast of The New Tom & Jerry/Grape Ape Show on ABC).
