You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

The first quote is from a cat, who's in competition with Porky Pig for the position of Hamlin's vermin exterminator. Porky, of course, comically misses the point (it was geared as an insult), and wonders why this cat he's never seen before is so familiar with his kin. From the 1949 cartoon Paying The Piper.

Just found the answer. It's Darla Dimple, from "Cats Don't Dance."

Yes, this line comes from Darla Dimple, who has given a jaw-dropping performance of "Big And Loud" to Danny Cat as a demonstration of how to sell talent. Good research, Em. :)

Thanks, OUB. How about this for a good quote?:

Yes, Saltyboot. Eric did say that in the episode "The Lost Children." Then again, he was known for derogatory remarks.

So the next quote's all yours. Good job. :)

One curiosity about Eric the Cavalier that always bothered me: as a cavalier, he should have a horse, since cavalier and cavalry are based on the French word for horse, cheval. Yet, it's Bobby that has Uni while Eric goes about on foot like an infantryman. Perhaps that crack about Dungeonmaster was more pithy than snipish. :/

I think this is Porky Pig, in overalls managing a farm. Porky heard another character singing the "Jimmy Crack Corn" song, and began pondering the imponderable, for laughs of course. Sadly, I can't name the specific cartoon at the moment.

Actually this is Pinky, the lab rat from Pinky and the Brain. Pinky was known for asking very strange questions.

I don't need to look this one up. I distinctly remember this as the lament of the Mayor of Halloweentown, just after he reversed his head from the smiling face to the anguished face. From Tim Burton's stop-motion The Nightmare Before Christmas. :woot::arghh:

That's right OUB, it was the Mayor. Take it away.
