You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Hint: Young Viking couple from the grand finale of a successful film trilogy.

Second hint: The last of three "How To" films that are more adventurous than instructional.

Nobody wants this one? Okay, not to be hoggish, but I'd better squeak up. This must be Astrid and Hiccup from Dreamworks Animation's How To Train Your Dragon 3.

Sweet. :) Okay, fair warning: these are song lyrics from one of those boy bands, so prepare to change your socks.

"I'll be your long-haired lover from Liverpool / You'll be my sunshine lady from L.A."

Guess it's up to me after all. The answer is Little Jimmy Osmond, who sang that song in the episode "Luck Of The Osmonds." Here, he was mistaken for a leprechaun(!) and ordered to find a way to cheer up Sad Meg.

That's precisely where the quote originates, Em, well done. The Osmonds were animated by Rankin/Bass Productions in 1972, and this was one of their songs made into a plot point.

Thanks, OUB. Now, in order to make up for my failure to guess the mystery cartoon character:

"I have a surprise. A new, modern, British map."

Hint: The animated version of an iconic Broadway musical that had poor Yul Brynner rolling over in his grave.

Oh no! It's THAT movie. :sour: This has to be Anna from that awful 1999 animated version of The King and I. Sadly, I've seen this turkey back when it first came out. Ironically enough, my mother took me to see it instead of taking me to see another terrible movie called Baby Geniuses. (What? I was still young at the time.)

Indeed I can come up with something better than that Disney wannabee-- seriously--half of the animals looked like they were borrowed from Disney films.

    "He's got a sword!"
"You idiots! We've all got swords!"

Hint: This occurs during a musical number in a (naturally) Disney film in the middle of a busy marketplace. The character with the sword is a sidekick character who generally doesn't wield one. His pursuers have momentarily forgotten who they are for a second and are terrified.

It's Aladdin's pursuers, and the "swordsman" is Abu.

Correct. It's part of the song "One Jump Ahead" where Aladdin is being pursued by the guards of Agrabah. At one point, Abu grabs a sword from the throat of a sword swallower and defends himself with it. One of the guards freaks out about this, and so do a few of the others until Razoul, the captain of the guards reminds them that "They've all got swords."
