You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Sad news for all you Trekkies out there. Leoanrd Nimoy, who played Spock, has died.

He played the Vulcan crew member throughout the show's network run, as well as the animated spinoff, and most of the theatrical movies.

Post-Trek, he played Paris on "Mission: Impossible," and later hosted the series "In Search Of," which was devoted to unsolved mysteries.

RIP, Mr. Nimoy. You'll be missed by Trekkies and non-Trekkies alike. :(

Mr. Nimoy was the voice of Galvatron in the "Transformers Movie" in 1985...Frank Welker played Galvatron in the Transformers cartoon episodes that took place in year 2086.

While Mr. Spock was cool and unemotional, Nimoy performed great acting to add depth and, dare I say, "humanity" in his character. RIP

Curiously, Leonard Nimoy wrote the book "I Am Not Spock" about being pigeonholed into the role on Star Trek. He and others from the show had difficulty finding other acting work as a result. Later, Nimoy would pen "Maybe I Am Spock" when the reaction from fans and entertainment pundits savaged his first book. It was pointed out that William Shatner, as Captain Kirk, had embraced his alternate identity, and routinely exploited it for fan works or parodies. As a result, Nimoy was tapped as director for some of the Star Trek-based motion pictures.

Nimoy also made an appearance on the television series Columbo, as a murderous surgeon determined not to be discredited in his field. Clearly an effort to break away from type.

I'm not a Trekkie but I am sad to hear of his passing. RIP Mr. Nimoy.

I watched In Search Of in syndication in the early 1980's. At some point during the show's run, maybe between the first and second seasons, he grew a mustache. I wonder if he did it so he would look less like Spock?

He also appeared in 2 episodes of The Outer Limits, "Production and Decay of Strange Particles" and "I, Robot". (His future Star Trek co-stars William Shatner and James Doohan also appeared in episodes of this series.) When "I, Robot" was remade for the 1990's revival of The Outer Limits, Nimoy appeared in that episode as well, though playing a different character.
