You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Say goodbye to Disney+

No great surprise about this. CNN+ dudded out for exactly the same reasons. Media moguls seem to have forgotten who their core audience is, and went chasing unicorns.

This may be pie-in-the-sky speculation, but the Walt Disney Company may have to sell off assets to cover its debts, incurred after foisting a series of duds. It's possible that Fox Media may regain their 20th Century Fox studios, and begin collecting viewers disgusted by Disney.

Not surprised by the news. 2023 was a very rough year for Disney. Mounting debts, box office flops, etc. And the actors' and writers' strikes didn't help.

Last July, just as the actors' strike was starting, Disney's CEO, Bob Iger, had planned to put Disney in a new direction - by producing fewer movies and better quality ones at that, particularly with the LucasFilm and Marvel properties. It sounds like Disney is reverting back to Walt's vision - which made Disney so magical and quite popular.

I read something about Hulu possibly taking over the Disney+ content. Is this true, or was it being considered?

I realized something. The site "Inside the Magic" is likely just tabloid-style material with just rumors and gossip mostly regarding the Walt Disney company and its properties. I don't think it's a credible source. In fact, not one credible source has reported this at this point, otherwise Deadline, The Hollywood Reporter, and Variety would have reported it by now - they didn't. So that is good news for Disney+.

The same site reported that the game show Jeopardy! was cancelled (this was just before the writers' strike ended). It turns out it is still on the air, and the trusted Jeopardy! site was looking for new contestants - proving that Jeopardy! is not going anywhere anytime soon. Again, Deadline, The Hollywood Reporter and Variety never reported this, so that is good news for fans of the show.

"Inside the Magic" is one of those sites that wants to attract users by using what appears to be exciting news, only for them to be lies just for the purpose of gaining revenue. Never believe a thing. If you want reliable entertainment news, Variety, Deadline, The Hollywood Reporter are the right places to go. I just bet Disney+ will still be around for quite some time to come.
