You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Family Guy, The Cleveland Show, American Dad, and King of the Hill are leaving Adult Swim...if they haven't already.

What will be the fate of Adult Swim now? Newer shows? Shifting to more live-action shows? Finding other shows that can fill-in the gap? I actually would like to see Mystery Science Theater 3000 on Adult Swim...both the old and new versions.

I really can't blame them FOX probably wants an arm and a leg to air them and people are probably tired of them.

More likely, since the Walt Disney Company acquired the Fox Network, all of Fox's properties are Disney's now. Because Adult Swim is part of Cartoon Network, itself a holding of AT&T-Warner Brothers, Disney doesn't want its competitor playing with its "toys." Corporate selfishness at its finest. :/ To fill the void in Adult Swim's lineup, I expect them to tap into DiC Entertainment's productions, and maybe cull a few series from indie outfits and from Europe. Some of the British stuff is decent, though the pop-culture references tend to be oblique.

They should do more series like primal Moral Oral and Robot Chicken and perhaps bring back older shows like Toonheads and Cartoon cartoon.

Hmm, curious that the Walt Disney Company would allow two of Fox's properties to air on ATT + Warner Brothers' channel. I can only speculate here, but two distinct factors might be driving this:
    1) Mike Judge and Greg Daniels still retain some creative and licensing control over King of the Hill, and likewise, Matt Groening retains control over Futurama. So, when Adult Swim asked to air their creations on that channel, the creators gave the go-ahead, using Creator's Copyright to override Disney's objections.
    2) Disney no longer has the deep pockets it once did, so a desperation for cash compels them to farm out their holdings to rival channels. Disney has been making duds lately, so licensing revenue from a rival studio is better than nothing.

I wouldn't doubt that Warner-Discovery who's doing okay...or may be in jeopardy...might buy Disney down the road.

I STILL think that soon...every American Studio will be all owned by one company...it may be Viacom.

It'll be like Demolition Man where all the restaurants are Taco Bell.

Won't happen. Anti-monopoly laws prohibit cornering the broadcast market like that. Competition drives prices down, and pushes output improvements up. A Potterville economic model stagnates pretty quickly, and will drive consumers away. Here's proof that a one-and-only media outlet doesn't work: the only newspaper in the old Soviet Union was Pravda (Truth). Let's ask the Soviets how well that's working ... oh wait, the Soviet Union dissolved in the Nineties. :p
