You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

I know we all get tired of complaining about Cartoon Network all the time, but last night I found myself musing about CN's 'bumps', or station identification spots between shows and commercials. I personally find the old 'Toontown'-esque spots infinitely superior to the 'red screen' things they're doing currently. Which got me thinking about listing some of my favorite CN bumps. Here are some of the ones I particularly enjoyed:

-The spot in which Wonder Woman and Aquaman are being held captive by the Legion of Doom, but are rescued by the Powerpuff Girls. Favorite line goes to Blossom's "We're big fans of old school".

-Another PPG themed spot in which the Powerpuffs fly smack into the porch window of 2 guys' house because Mojo Jojo is on their TV screen.

-The bump in which Prof. Utonium discovers he's locked his keys in his car, and is taunted by Dexter.

-The bump in which Freddy Jones and Daphne are in the Mystery Machine at a red light alongside Coop and Jamie riding in the Megas, and Fred challenges them to a drag race.

-Another Megas XLR spot featuring Coop, Kiva and Jamie staning proudly in front of the Megas in the midsts of a destroyed city.

-The Teen Titans bump where Starfire cleans the windows of Titans Tower from the outside while flying.

I'm sure I'll think of more later.

Cartoon Network going 24/7. Were rolling with the stones and with scooby doo and shaggy and velma and dafny too.

I didn't like the only on cable line though as I had sky but it ended up being a big lie anyway as SKY Digital got it too and I was moved onto the new digital version of the platform the same year as that advert was airing so it was not true at all.

I liked the one in which Johnny Bravo and Samurai Jack are in the laundromat and Jack notes that Johnny seems to have a fondness for black shirts. Johnny responds with "And you seem to like it in pink." Jack then notices that all of his white gi are now pink due to Blossom accidentally putting one of her pink dresses in with Jack's laundry. That one always made me chuckle.

    I loved those.

I got a kick out of pretty much all of the City era bumps. Some of the Powerhouse era bumps (particularly the ones for Freakazoid!, Beetlejuice and Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy) also made me smile.

The "Go Ask Cartoon Network" one where the answer to what Sylvester would do if he ever caught Tweety would be to give him back his wallet he dropped seven years ago. That part always made me chuckle although I also always loved "Why are the Smurfs blue." Grouchy insists "We're not! We're green! Adjust your tv!"
