Bob Iger is stepping-down as CEO of Disney as we speak!

If I'm reading this rightly, not much will change. Iger will still have a say in the boardroom, and Chapek has been an executive department head for some time. Disney will also be retaining its current executive board, so this amounts to little more than a chair shuffle. Unless there's an exodus of suits in Anaheim, Disney will still be playing the same old game. Iger just wants to do less actual managing, and spend more time getting daiquiris from bikini bunnies.

Another chair shuffle that accomplishes little. Oh, as an aside: AT&T acquired Warner Brothers, not the other way around. We'll see how long this lasts; remember the Time Warner merger? Married in May, divorced in August. For the time being, Disney is now the only major studio that owns itself. All others, such as MGM, Columbia, Tristar, United Artists, Sony Pictures, Paramount ... all playthings of mega-corporations. We may live to see the Tyrell Pyramid get built.

That's highly unlikely. Even with the duddy Star Wars films and unsold merch, Disney still has deep pockets. Long-shot scenario: 20th Century Fox splits from the Disney grasp. All they get is their studios back. They won't get their old staff back, unless Disney does a mass lay-off. They certainly won't get their film library back, as Disney will hang onto that, rebrand these films, and collect the residuals from airing them. It'd be like a prison escape: Fox would be free, but they'd have to leave most of their stuff behind. Also, mega-corporations adhere to the Herod Principle: any up-and-coming competitor poses a threat, no matter how remote. Therefore, they must be quashed or assimilated to assure Disney retains its throne.
