You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

The whole current cast of the iconic soap opera Days Of Our Lives has been fired. The show will go on indefinite hiatus at the end of November, which means it may or may not return in 2020. It's one of only four soaps still on the air, and the only one left on NBC. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Considering the direction of soap operas and scripted shows these days, it wouldn't shock me if the show will be cancelled in 2020, and the days of their lives will finally reach the end.

And just to clarify, the cast has not been fired by definition of "fired". When people are "fired" by definition, they would have to do something very unlawful, very disturbing, or unethical. If anything, "laid off" is the proper term.

If Days gets cancelled, it will be the first daytime soap to get axed since the demise of "One Life to Live" - that soap was cancelled in 2012, and that was such a long time ago.

The last two daytime soaps to end - "One Life to Live", and "All My Children", each ended their runs on a disturbing note, including Erica Kane getting shot on the finale of "All My Children" and someone having been kidnapped on the "One Life to Live" finale. Sounds like a case of those series' writers venting their anger, since they would be out of a job.

Or, perhaps, setting up some following movies (made for TV or otherwise) to resolve the issues. Did Erica Kane die in that finale?

I know all my dearly departed grandmothers and similar folks would be tearing their hair out now, given all the Soaps disappearing. They thrived on them....

I realize a possible reason for the indefinite hiatus for production. Could it have to do with uncertainty of how long the Trump impeachment coverage might last? If so, I can expect other daytime programming to follow suit. Not just soaps, but game shows and talk shows as well.

I'm not sure about that. You can watch the episodes online. Also, I watch The Young and the Restless and they air the missed episode on the next day that there is no hearing.

I think it's more likely that the cast of Days Of Our Lives could not reach a contract renewal agreement. I'm just guessing though.

I'm NO Fan of Soap Operas...but the way these shows are going...Soap Operas during the afternoon may be another dead genre, like the prime-time variety/sketch show.

Personally, the way the TV landscape is headed, it's going to be nothing but news, talk shows, and game shows on the big three networks on a daily basis.

Daytime soaps mostly appealed to grandparents and great-grandparents, many of whom are now deceased. I am thinking the entire cast wanted money the producers were unable to afford. If the cast were unionized, they would probably go on strike, but nowadays strikes fail.
