You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

We have lost another legendary Hanna-Barbera voice actor. Janet Waldo is dead at age 96.

She began by voicing daughter Judy on "The Jetsons." From there, she voiced a multitude of female characters. Among them, Mrs. Slaghoople and the teenaged Pebbles on "The Flintstones," Granny Sweet on "Precious Pupp," Jenny on "The Space Kidettes," Nancy on "Shazzan," Lady Dorma and Princess Perla on "The Fantastic Four," a mermaid on "Moby Dick," Penelope Pitstop on "The Wacky Races," and "The Perils Of Penelope Pitstop," Josie James on "Josie And The Pussycats," and "Josie And The Pussycats In Outer Space," several young girls on the many iterations of "Scooby Doo," Miss Switch on a couple of ABC Weekend Specials, and many other characters.

RIP, Janet. You will be terribly missed. :(

RIP...I enjoyed her....Josie's last name at the time was Josie James. Originally a radio actress,b.1919? (I kept seeing 1918 and 1924), she first gained fame in 1943 as the Judy like Corless Archer (Tracy Turnblad as played by newcomer (2007) Nikki Blonsky and best pal Penny Pingleton (Jetsons ref) (Amanda Bynes) reminded me of Corliss/Janet/Judy...Amy Adams as Disney's forgotten Enchanted princess Giselle had a similiarly breathy voice..)

Aw, another stalwart of Hanna-Barbera has left the world. It takes something special to pronouce "Help!" as a two-syllable word, a la Penelope Pitstop. Clearly a talented and dedicated voice actor, one that could be counted on to deliver a female timber regardless of characterization, good or bad. I'll have to rewatch some of my H-B stuff again.

Janet Waldo also played the bumbling evil sorceress Hogatha in a few episodes of "The Smurfs".

She was also the voice of Princess in "Battle of the Planets" along side Alan Young as Keyop and 7-Zark-7 who died in May 2016 also at age 96.

She can play the voices of lively teenagers, sweet old ladies, and stuffy high society matrons well.

Janet Waldo recorded her lines as Judy Jetson for the 1990 "Jetsons" theatrical movie but was replaced without much notice by then-popular pop star Tiffany in a heavily criticized move.

I saw one of the Season 4 segments of the Richie Rivh series, and it got me wondering, doesn't Mayda Munny sound a lot like Hogatha the witch from The Smurfs (minus the snorting)? If so, that might have been another character on Janet Waldo's resume.
