Writer Paul Haggis won a Best Picture Oscar for the film "Crash" in which he co-wrote and directed. Haggis directed the film "Million Dollar Baby" which won supporting actress Hillary Swank an Oscar.

Haggis also created the tv series "Due South" and wrote episodes of "LA Law". A major Hollywood player.

Norman Maurer was the father of Michael Maurer. Norman Maurer was the son-in-law of Moe Howard of "Three Stooges" fame. Norman Maurer was also the father of frequent cartoon series writer Jeffrey Scott.

Bob Ogle wrote cartoon stories for DePatie-Freleng in the 1960s and 1970s and played the voice of Kwicky Koala as well as Digger Mole on "The Shirt Tales" for Hanna Barbera and the voice of Harry Halibut in DePatie-Freleng's ""Misterjaw".
