You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Ever since Fritz the Cat came out, there has been a notification that cartoons weren't only for children. Back in the 30's and 40's, many of those cartoons had innuendos in it.
Now fast forward to today, we have Adult Swim, South Park, and Family Guy.
What other Adult or Teen cartoons are out there?

Well, starting from Ralph Bakshi's adaptation of Fritz The Cat (a character created by underground cartoonist Robert Crumb), there's Bakshi's other works, such as Heavy Traffic and Coonskin. Don Bluth broke away from Disney to helm his pet projects, such as The Secret of NIMH and The Land Before Time. Before dismissing these as kiddie fare, rewatch Brisby's first encounter with the farmer's cat, Dragon; then tell me it's kiddie fare.

Bakshi also teamed up with beefcake / cheesecake artist Frank Frazetta to produce Fire And Ice, where Princess Teegra wears a bikini with a veil, and the veil doesn't last ten minutes. Nepenthe Studios adapted author Richard Adams's Watership Down into an animated feature, complete with the General eviscerating Blackavar, the severe claw-fight between Woundwort and Bigwig, and the farmer's dog loosed upon the Efrafan strike party. Night-mare fu-el.

And, if you're willing to go way, way back, there's Joie de Vivre, with the two women / fairies / sprites / whatever skinny-dipping in the river. And there's more, of course, but I'll shut up now.

I once saw a book at the library called The World Encyclopedia of Cartoons and I thought it would be a fun book...it is...but that book also shows adult cartoons/animation because...I saw some naked ladies...oh behave!
